Hi Jim,

This is the first of three large-scale voter registration form mailings (502,000) in NC. It looks like they are targeting Cumberland, Durham, Forsyth, Guilford, Mecklenburg, Wake. Two more mailings could add up to 1.5 M forms.

This is one of the 520 pages of docs that Janet sent to me.

All;

I believe the Voter Participation Center is breaking NC law with its scheme of data collection at the QR Code site.

I navigated the site and discovered it is collecting answers to questions like - "Why are you registering to vote?" and "Is this your first time registering?"  Per NC statutes, folks who register voters are not allowed to query registrants in any manner that could be influencing their registration or proclivity to vote.

VPC collects emails and mobile numbers for voters prior to notifying them they can register on-line without VPC assistance.  This creates a collection mechanism to influence future prospective voters.

Someone needs to file a complaint against the NCSBE and local county boards who enable this manipulation of registrants and voters.

Thanks to Jim Womack and the team in North Carolina that submitted a FOIA request to state Election Officials, and received a massive (500 plus pages) response, they have discovered an issue with the QR Code in the CVI mailing. The CVI letter included with the voter registration form indicates that you can use the QR Code to register, or check your registration to vote.

That's NOT what it does!

The QR Code takes you to a landing page on the CVI website (Powered by "RockTheVote"), asking for an email and zip code. When you hit the next button, it takes you to a second page that asks for all your personal information, including your DOB. So, it's a Left-wing data mining operation under the guise of a voter registration program, funded by Left-wing donors.

Your state election official who is approving these CVI mailings may not be aware of this issue. We need to inform them about this issue and get them to stop approving these mailings.

Let me know if you have any questions.
